If you do not handle the payment correctly when booking, our booking system will block the boat for 1 hour. After 1 hour you can rebook the boat yourself via our website.

If you make a reservation, you must immediately pay (part of) electronically via IDEAL, Sofort, Bancontact or Giropay.
If you book more than a month in advance, you must pay a deposit of 50%. If you book less than a month, you must pay the entire rent immediately.

We offer you the option to transfer the deposit 5 days in advance (due to the processing time at banks and foreign payments, a period of 5 days is used for this). This way you can get on the water without any worries immediately upon arrival! For all payments you will receive an email from us with a payment link.

Given the large amounts, it is not an option to pay in cash here. If we have not received the deposit in time, the booking will be cancelled. You will also receive a reminder email from us!

The deposit will be refunded to you within 24 hours after the sailing time, if you return the boat to us without damage. The boat is always checked / checked with you by one of our employees upon return.

We rent out fixed times. Our rental boats depart in the morning from 10:45 am and 11:00 am (depending on which boat you book) and in the afternoon from 1:15 pm and 1:30 pm. From 1 May you can also sail in the evening from 6 p.m., we are then open until 9 p.m.

If you click on the date you want to sail on our website next to the boat you want in the calendar, you can see at what times the boat is still available in the bar below. If the time you want is not listed here, the boat is already reserved.

With our sloops and console boats (no license required) you can enjoy sailing on Recreatiegebied Rhederlaag, the largest and most beautiful water sports area in the east of the Netherlands! You will receive a map from us where you can sail in the Rhederlaag recreation area. Sailing on the IJssel is strictly prohibited given the safety and insurance conditions. If we find that there has been danger on the IJssel, the deposit will be forfeited!

Of course you can also enjoy a swim while sailing and cool off in the clear water. On the recreational lake, the water is not equally deep everywhere, which makes diving from the boat life-threatening. We also strongly advise against this.

Yes, the deposit is € 300.00 for all our boats. During the booking process you can choose to buy off the deductible for € 40.00. Of course you do not pay a deposit.
*However, if you book less than 5 days before the sailing date, our booking system unfortunately does not offer the possibility to disable the payment of the deposit. In that case we will refund this amount to you as soon as possible.

We kindly ask you to transfer all payments in advance via the payment link (in the emails you receive from us). Upon arrival, everything is then fully arranged and you can immediately go on the water without any worries!

No license is required for the sloops and console boats. No experience is required, we explain everything calmly before you set sail.
If you want to rent the sloop Berlin (suitable for 8 people), some sailing experience is required.

After you have made a reservation request, you will receive the reservation and payment confirmation. Also check your spam folder for this e-mail!
You can of course always contact us (preferably by email) if you have not received an email!

No, cancellation is not possible. A booking made for a boat or sloop will be canceled by Gelderse Boat Rental if there is more than wind force 5, the temperature is lower than 12 degrees, thunderstorms or a weather alarm is issued. In all other situations you can go sailing with the boat or sloop and it will continue.

For € 15.00 per booking you can decide for yourself whether the weather is good enough for you to sail (up to 24 hours before the start of the booking), of course you can also reschedule the booking for another private reason. You may shift the booking once to a date of your choice (within the sailing season April to September). If you inform us that you want to postpone the booking, we would like to hear from you to which date you want to move the reservation.

Make sure to be there at least 15 minutes in advance! Before departure, everyone will receive detailed instructions about the sailing area and about the boat. Furthermore, there is of course every opportunity to ask questions.

At the kiosk in the parking lot of Jachthaven 't Eiland you will see a Meetingpoint Gelderse Bootverhuur sign. We will welcome you there and you will receive a transfer form and a folder of the sailing area from us. Don't forget to bring your ID!
If no one is present here, you can call us on the telephone number stated on the form on the kiosk.

You can also use the sanitary facilities on the grounds of the Marina!

Free parking is available on site P1 of Jachthaven 't Eiland, the Muggenwaard 16 in Lathum.

This depends on the type of boat or sloop that you reserve. On our website it is clearly stated for each boat how many people are allowed on the boat. More people on the boat is not allowed (children count in full, regardless of age) due to safety and insurance conditions. If the lessor finds that there are more than the maximum number of people on board, the full deposit will be deducted.

When renting, the fuel tank is filled with 10 liters of petrol. You don't have to worry about the fuel, you can sail carefree.
The sailing behavior can of course vary greatly per tenant and of course the rental period also plays a role in this. An extra 10 liter jerry can of petrol can be supplied at an additional cost.

If you have suffered damage, please contact us immediately by telephone or indicate this immediately upon return. This prevents a lot of trouble. When returning the boat, we always check the boat (and the checklist) together with you. You should therefore always report when you return.

No, for reasons of hygiene this is not allowed. We also have to take into account the allergies of the following tenants, for this we ask for your understanding. No exceptions are made to this.

We also have life jackets for the little ones. These can be included at an additional cost. Of course there is the possibility to rent a life jacket for everyone on board. Swimming with the life jackets is not allowed. These are for safety and emergency use only.

A number of our boats are equipped with a 12-volt connection in which you can charge your telephone or cool box (connect to power) with your own adapter cable.

We offer the service to book a delicious Picnic Basket or a Drinks Package for the boat. Definitely a must!
You can also book a 3-course dinner or lunch via our website. You can enjoy this service from the beautiful terrace of Brasserie Vin (located on the water on the grounds of Jachthaven 't Eiland). Unfortunately, if you reserve less than 48 hours in advance, we cannot offer these options.

Yes, of course that is possible.

All sloops and console boats are equipped with luxury cushion sets. Bringing extras pillows or blankets is of course always allowed.

Keep in mind that it always cools down faster on the water, so bring some warm clothes / blankets.
